This is not your usual questionnaire. There is no tally and there are no right or wrong
answers. However, your responses may provide you with an important key to self awareness.
For the moment, set your answers
aside and consider a back to the future concept the idea that we are each made up of
multidimensional energy fields that interact with each other in dynamic equilibrium, our
physical bodies being the most dense of all of these. To put it another way, in reality,
we each consist of many vital, vibrating, interpenetrating "energy" bodies, even
though most of us are only aware of our visible, physical density. Take a minute to reread
that and allow it to settle.
These lighter bodies, or unseen energy fields, interface with our physical/cellular bodies
by way of an intricate network of "energy threads." The incoming energy
threading in from the light bodies is "stepped down" for processing in the
visible, physical body by way of unique, specialized "transformers" called
Chakras, (wheels or whirring vortices). The chakras convert the incoming energies to
signals that affect the endocrine glands which are part of a powerful master control
system that affects every part of our physiology from the cells and genetic activity
through the function of the Central Nervous System.
When all systems are functioning optimally, one is in good health. However, when an energy
field goes out of whack, it affects the other fields, the entire network, including the
chakras. Ultimately, the imbalance is noted on the physical/cellular level since each
chakra is a "door" to that opens onto a major nerve plexus and glandular center
within the endocrine system. The idea is the newest Einsteinian paradigm that provides the
basis for vibrational medicine. But historically, it is one of the oldest notions outside
of the scientific realm.
That said, I will now reveal that each group of questions you answered relates to
one of seven specific chakras, the major "portals" through which
light-body-energy most directly connects the physical body to the multidimensional
universe. Group one equates to Chakra One, group two to Chakra Two, continuing through
Chakra Seven. Each chakra is associated with a particular physiologic system and
contributes a subtle nutritive energy called prana, chi, or life force, to specific parts
of the physical body. All chakras work in harmony. Their uninhibited flow of this subtle
energy maintains the physical body. If there is an imbalance in one chakra, the particular
part of the body that it feeds will be affected. And this, in turn, creates an imbalance
in all of the chakras which, affects the well-being of the physical body. The chakras,
themselves, have multilevel implications, reflecting physiological as well as
psychological implications. As we look over the "domain" of each chakra, review
your answers to the above questions.
Chakra One is connected with the
sacral-coccygeal nerve plexus, the reproductive system and the gonads. It is called the
Base, or Root, Chakra and is symbolically associated with the Earth. Located in the area
of the perineum, the soft area between the genitals and the anus, Chakra One houses your
basic survival instincts, including "fight or flight" responses (some sources
associate this chakra with the adrenal glands). Your familial programming and your
feelings of having "the right to live" are located here The amount of energy
that flows through the root chakra reflects your ability to link with the Earth and
function on a day-to-day basis. When this chakra is spinning too slowly, your will to live
is diminished. If whirling too quickly, paranoia may be manifested. Associated with the
sacrum, the spine in general, and external excretory orifices (anus, rectum, urethra),
problems, such as hemorrhoids or urethral strictures, are associated with this chakra.
Symbolically these orifices represent "release." Working together with Chakra
Two which controls the large and small intestines, constipation or dysfunction in these
lower chakras may signal an inability to "let go" of past teachings, "old
garbage" and outmoded methods, or living in the past. Diarrhea, on the other hand,
may esoterically reflect fearful release rejection without proper assimilation.
Chakra Two
(sometimes called the navel chakra, gonadal chakra, splenic chakra, or sacral
chakra) is the subtle-energy seat of sensual emotion and sexuality. Symbolically, it is
allied with Water. It is associated with the sacral nerve plexus, the genitourinary
system, the gonads and reproductive organs, also the urinary bladder, the large and small
intestines, the appendix and the lumbar vertebrae, and the Leydig System. (Chakras One and
Two overlap to a great extent and some esoteric sources associate Chakra One with both the
gonads and the estrogen and testosterone-producing cells of leydig.) Some illnesses that
may be heavily influenced by an imbalance in Chakra Two are colitis, irritable bowel
syndrome, bladder tumors, malabsorption if the small intestine, sexual dysfunctions,
prostatitis, low back pain, bladder, cervical and uterine cancers.
Chakra
Three, located at the solar plexus, has physical affinities
with the solar nerve plexus, and the lumbar vertebrae. It supplies nutritive subtle energy
to most of the major digestive-purification organs, including the stomach, pancreas,
liver, gall bladder, spleen, and adrenals, also the general digestive system since the
large and small intestines are related to Chakra Two. This chakra is linked to personal
power/control over your life, how you see yourself relating to your family, friends,
associates, and others in general. Abnormal functioning of the Solar Plexus Chakra can
result in anger, domination or abuse of others, many times out of an inner feeling of
helplessness. Esoterically, this chakra represents Fire and like a miniature sun,
unresolved personal power issues can cause this inner fire to "burn" a hole (by
way of digesting food) through a related organ, such as the duodenum or stomach, to cause
an ulcer. Internal conflicts and stresses may cause one involved in Chakra Three issues to
be either tyrannical, or meek and submissive, sometimes alternating between the two. And
interestingly, when this chakra is blocked, the adrenal glands (which play a primary role
in activating hormones during times off stress) may degenerate, leading to fatigue and
weakness. Diabetes is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra, and may be associated with
a deeply buried, unconscious feeling of powerlessness or a longing for the past or a life
that may have been.
Chakra Four,
the Heart Center, whirrs over the physical heart to function with the Heart
Plexus, the circulatory system and the thymus. Here the ability to nurture, to feel love,
compassion, and empathy unfolds from self-love to an emotional love relationship, to
brotherly love, to universal, spiritual love for all Creation. An imbalanced flow in
this chakra can take its toll as a heart attack, a stroke (stagnant energy causing blood
clots), or other circulatory problems. In addition to the heart and circulatory system,
the Heart Chakra offers nutritive subtle energy to the organs that promote vitality and
life the
bronchial tubes, lungs, and breasts (organs that serve to do nothing more than nurture
another being). Closely tied to the thymus gland, the Heart Chakra also plays a dominant
role in immune function. The Chakra Four vortex is symbolized as Air. Energy
imbalances in this chakra, also affect breathing. Some experts speculate that asthma, for
instance may be the result of unbalanced parental love or overwhelming pressures that
stifle and "suffocate" a child reflexes that are reactivated during times of
stress. The Heart Chakra is considered a transitional chakra since it is nestled between
the more Earth-oriented physical Chakras One (Earth), Two (Fire) and Three (Water) and the
more spiritual aspects of the higher bodies, Chakras Five, Six and Seven.
Chakra Five,
The Throat Center or Thyroid Chakra, resides at the throat to connect with the
Cervical Ganglia and the Medulla. It has physical affinities with respiration and the
thyroid, influencing all the major glands and structures in the neck area, including the
parathyroid glands, the mouth, vocal chords, the trachea and the cervical vertebrae as
well as the parasympathetic nervous system that innervates the heart, lungs and abdominal
organs. It also affects the general skeletal activity by energizing the parathyroid gland
which, in turn, regulates calcium metabolism in the bones by way of parathyroid hormone
(PTH) and calcitonin (a thyroid hormone) secretion. This chakra is important in
communication, not only in word, but in song. Blockages result in individuals who cannot
express themselves creatively or communicate their inner feelings. Diseases resulting from
a Fifth Chakra imbalance include laryngitis, thyroiditis (overactivity), parathyroid gland
tumors (underactivity), and possibly cancer of the larynx.
Chakra Six,
The Brow Chakra, is sometimes called the "third eye." It is associated
with the hypothalamus, the pituitary, and the Autonomic Nervous System. When Chakra Seven
is also activated, Chakra Six forms an energy polarity between the pituitary and the
pineal glands. If you have a highly developed Brow Chakra, you have the ability to
"see within" yourself. However, diseases of this chakra are brought about by an
individuals hesitancy to see something important for his or her soul. Problems can be as
diverse as cataracts, to sinus problems, to major hormonal imbalances.
Chakra
Seven, The Crown Chakra, is located at the crown of your head.
It has physical affinities with the Cerebral Cortex and the Pineal Gland, and is
associated with the control of the Central Nervous System. This chakra is considered the
highest vibrational center in the subtle body and is connected with a deep inner searching
or "spiritual path." It allows you to enter the highest states of consciousness,
a balancing of the right and left hemispheres of the brain and balanced body, mind and
spirit. Abnormalities, however, include various kinds of cerebral dysfunction, not the
least of which is psychosis.
Reviewing your "energy
portals," do you find one or more that needs balancing? If so, there are any
number of ways to balance your vital force, including body work such as Hatha Yoga,
breathing techniques, working on the meridians as in acupuncture / acupressure, to
positive affirmations, meditations, aromatherapy, sound and light, magnetic fields,
crystal and flower elixirs, and more.
End.
