Natural Progesterone Cream for Men?

INTRODUCTION
While women take center stage with events leading to and beyond the menopause, conventional wisdom - and macho mythology - assumes that men go on more or less as they have done. Perhaps a little more slowly....perhaps with a few more wrinkles but pretty much the same overall. It is gradually being realized that this isn't true at all.

If the phase changes aren't as clear cut as for women...they are certainly there and we need to take them into account. There are some changes which definitely shouldn't be there, for example, the recently discovered decrease in male fertility which is virtually universal. There are other changes which are part of normal aging which we would perhaps not wish to emphasize...but they cause problems and are sensitive to discuss. Yet if they aren't mentioned then they cause awkwardness and frustration behind closed doors. By the same token, solutions are not forthcoming. Male impotence and loss of libido are two "undiscussables" we are about to discuss.

MALE IMPOTENCE
Impotence must first be distinguished from fertility. Male fertility relates to the ability of a man's sperm to cause pregnancy by penetrating a ripe female egg cell (an ovum). A man can be fertile even if impotent. Impregnation may be an assisted process but a couple can have a child if the male partner is fertile but impotent. The term "impotence" relates to the inability of a man to have an erection suitable for sexual intercourse. The inability may be temporary or permanent, a problem of inadequate firmness of the male organ (the penis) or a problem of timing or duration of firmness when needed for intercourse. Other associated problems may be superimposed on the difficulty. For example, general ill health, loss of sex drive (libido), loss of penile sensitivity or inability to ejaculate, that is to say, deposit sperm into a woman's sex passage (vagina).

There are a wide variety of reasons for male impotency and there is certainly no single magic potion for universal cure of it. Where valves are the culprit in the engorgement process leading to erection then no cream or psychotherapeutic assistance will help. Likewise a physical cure for a psychological problem may not work. Where severe underlying physical or emotional causes are involved then specialist medical treatment must be sought and your qualified medical advisor is the starting point. There are a whole range of mechanical and physiological aids available to fall back on if medical or surgical measures fail. But "first aid" measures are believed to be well worth trying for men who have for many years had a normal sex life but, with age, find things becoming a little more difficult than they would wish...sometimes appreciably more difficult.

BENEFITS OF PROGESTERONE CREAM
Around 50 years of age, a man may find sexual performance less predictable than in earlier years. While the possibility of prostate gland problems may jump to mind, it doesn't have to be this. Some types of prostate discomfort may, however, be relieved by male targeted progesterone cream.

In both males and females, progesterone favors the development of so called T helper cells, thereby boosting immunity. It also increases dopamine release, supplying a good precursor to adrenal hormones..good for both sexes. Progesterone is used by the body to produce a number of steroid hormones so, together with the above effects, there is a general enhancement of function on which certain additional ingredients of the cream can build.

Most (male) preparations include Siberian Ginseng which is reputed to have a gonad-stimulating activity and promotes health of the prostate gland. It is also claimed to aid reproductive functioning. Ginkgo Biloba has been found helpful in certain types of impotency. This has been attributed to its local impact on vascular efficiency. Damiana has acquired a reputation for curing impotence. It is one of the safest of all plants claimed to have an aphrodisiac effect. Avena Sativa frees up testosterone which, as men age, becomes less available in the body. Not all creams have the named ingredients. Where the preferred cream omits a desired ingredient, it is possible to obtain it separately as a supplement and tailor it to need.

RECOMMENDED USE
Apply half teaspoon (2.5ml) of cream per day to clean soft skin regions (i.e. inner aspect of upper arms, inner thighs, buttocks, backs of hands, wrists, neck or face. Be sure to rotate between areas of application so that several days elapse between applications at the same site. Avoid oils or roll-on deodorant etc at the site of application.

DIET, ACTIVITY AND LIFESTYLE
The use of natural progesterone cream should not be detached from the parallel requirements of weight bearing activity and good diet - including attention to any problem of excess weight. Alcohol won't help with borderline impotency or - especially in conjunction with smoking - the health of men's bones which become porous (like women's) albeit at half the female rate after 50 years of age. Men should also be extremely careful about tight clothing around the scrotal area and/or high temperatures (from garments or extra hot baths). One last thing...try switching off the electric over-blanket as soon as you get into bed!
